the good:
-i went for a run this morning
-i had a healthy breakfast: weight watchers bread with a small banana and peanut butter and a coffee
the bad:
-in addition to this, today i have eaten: a 100-calorie bar, half a small cinnamon bun, a 100-calorie pack of ritz, a piece of laughing cow light cheese, another coffee, a box of smarties
-i’m sugar crashing and feeling very sick to my stomach
-i’ve eaten essentially zero things of nutritional value!!
for supper tonight, i’m planning on a salad with baby greens, grilled chicken, a little avocado, watermelon, and honey-lime vinaigrette…something with some protein and some actual nutrients in it. also on the agenda, either a walk outside or some tennis to help boost my energy a little bit. i’m feeling pretty draggy and i don’t want any more coffee today!

cryptic, huh?
i don’t feel like talking to anybody today. i woke up, the sun’s shining, it’s shaping up to be a hot day. i went for my run, made great time, and was feeling good. i come to the office and everyone’s monday-cranky and acting pissy, complaining about the weather, etc. and it’s definitely affecting my mood in a negative way. seriously, who can help the weather? it FINALLY feels like summer, and people are upset?? i don’t understand people. i have my headphones in and i’m not even listening to music. i just do not feel like engaging in another negative conversation.
anyway, two months from today is the wedding. two. months. that’s not long! i’m going to try to eat very cleanly and work out consistently for the next two months leading up to the big day. last week i ran every day but one, which is great. i ran this morning and hope to either play tennis or do an upper-body workout tonight. i’d like to tone up my arms before october 17, since they’ll be shown in my dress.
anyhoo, here’s hoping people calm down a little bit today and stop being so weird and cantankerous. i don’t like it, nope, not one bit.
I love talking in fake accents all day at work. I work with a South African and I mimic his accent (BADLY) constantly.
All my accents sound the same: Newfoundland-slash-cockney Brit.
I sound retarded!
…is a must have. how did i run without this stellar piece of technology?!
let’s take a quick look at everything it does:
-tracks your distances
-calculates your pace
-remembers your personal best times (mile AND kilometre)
-figures out your calorie burn
-gives you audio updates if you wish during your run
-enables you to set a “power song” you can listen to at any point in your run. mine is “fire burnin’” by sean kingston. you’re surprised?
-allows you to share your results in an online community
-provides training programs
-ET CETERA
do yourself a favour and get one. you need an ipod nano or iphone, a pair of nike+ enabled sneaks and an ipod plugin. the shoes and the plugin cost me $130 plus tax. life changing, promise!
pet peeve #23501294: when people ask for feedback on something from the masses and then add, “be nice!”
soooo, basically, “i want to hear your feedback if you love what i’m doing, but if not, keep it to yourself!”
don’t ask for feedback if you aren’t open to the possibility that it might not be great. or phrase your ask a different way…i.e. “tell me what you like about X”. knowwhaimsayin?
